Cricket match Day Protocols

Parking & QR Codes

• Members to park at Groote Schuur School (Palmyra Road entrance).

• Members will enter the precinct via Gate B3.

• No vehicles may enter NCG on match days.

• Parking will be charged as per usual. (excluding monthly parkers)

• Members must confirm the number of parking tickets and QR codes required 3 days before each match (e.g., 2 Dec for the 5 Dec match).

• No sharing of QR codes

Deliveries

• No deliveries will be allowed on match days

• Members should plan ahead; alternatively, parcels may be collected outside the stadium at Gate 24.

Offices & Security Requirements

• SAPS will inspect private offices for explosives and liquor.

• All liquor must be removed from the site or it will be confiscated by SAPS.

Food & Beverage

• The Wicket Brewer & 1889 Eatery will not be serving sit-down to non-ticket holders.

• Members may arrange delivery of food directly with these vendors.

Entering and exiting on match days

Members must email tiffany@workshop17.com or rifqah@workshop17.com to receive their QR code.

• Due to precinct restrictions, Newlands members will take preference.

• No trial days, walkthroughs, or external bookings are permitted on match days.

• No recreational viewing of the match unless a ticket holder or office member.

• No live streaming or recording of the match.

• No ambush marketing or placing advertising near windows.

• Professional conduct is required throughout the day.

Arrival & Parking

• Proceed to Groote Schuur High School Upper Field parking (Palmyra Road).

• Show your QR code at the parking entrance.

• Follow directions to the designated parking area.

• Exit the school grounds and head toward 146 Campground Rd.

• Security and trestle tables will be positioned to the right—this is the first checkpoint.

• Bags will be checked for alcohol and sharp objects.

• Proceed to the second security point where your QR code will be scanned.

• Security will direct members along the marked ground-floor route.

• Main Gate: Gate 24 & all other entrances will be closed off.

Exiting the Precinct

Show your QR code again upon leaving to verify your exit.
